1. Clean the wig regularly

To properly clean the wig, you need to perform the following steps:

Step 1: Pre-wash care

There is a small note for you that: after spending time on the street, exposed to sunlight and dust, your hair will be frizzy and tangled. Therefore, you should pay attention not to soak directly into the basin of water. This will make the hair tangled and difficult to detangle.

You should use a wide tooth comb or your fingers to gently comb through any tangles. It’s best to start from the bottom and work your way up toward the roots.

Step 2: Choosing the right product for washing hair

You need to prepare warm water, choose a shampoo or conditioner with less detergent, so choose a type with a lot of nutrients that will help your hair look smoother.

Step 3: Wash wig 

• Take a basin of water to dilute the shampoo with water
• Fold your hair back and slowly dip it into the water.
• Put your hair in a basin and soak it for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse it off with water
• Continue to add conditioner to the basin of water and soak the wig similar to shampoo.

Step 4: Gently squeeze to clean hair

You should use two hands, one hand to hold the top of the hair, the other hand to gently squeeze the bottom of the hair to slowly remove dirt stuck to the hair. Remember to pay special attention not to rub like clothes, not to mess up the hair. Then rinse it off with clean water

Step 5: Dry

You’ve washed and cleansed your wig, so now you just have to wait for it to dry. Use a towel to lightly blot it and then leave it on a wig stand to air dry. Avoid using a blow dryer and brushing the hair until the lace wig is completely dry. 

2. Comb

After using the wig, the hair will be easily tangled, so if we do not know how to comb properly, it will cause the hair to fall out.

First of all, comb selection is very important. Comb for a wig is different from a normal hair comb. It is noted that when you use a wig, you should buy a specialized hair comb and attached care tools for ease of use.

Before combing, you should use a conditioner specifically for wigs, divide your hair into small sections and then utilize a wide comb to brush your hair from bottom to top to limit tangles and clumps. Spray more conditioner on tangled hair to easily detangle to make hair smoother. Do not brush your hair with too much force. After that, gently shake the hair to make the hair natural and smooth.

3. Preserve hair after using

The period of time to use the wig will depend on how you take care of it carefully and properly. Wigs can be used from 6 months to 1 year, but they can last up to 2-3 years depending on the material with due caution.
